Dear Files by Google Team, Your application is very useful and user-friendly, but I faced an issue with the Safe Folder feature. I stored some important documents in the Safe Folder, but later, the folder’s password was automatically changed, and I couldn’t access my files. I request you to consider adding a "Password Reset" option in the Safe Folder feature to help users recover their files in such situations. Thank you for your attention, and I hope you will look into this suggestion.

The crux of the issue lies in the reappearance of files that I’ve already deleted. This is especially problematic when I’m trying to maintain an organized and efficient system, only to find remnants of deleted files cluttering the interface. These files, which should no longer exist, give a misleading impression leading to unnecessary confusion. Worse yet, the app doesn’t allow me to permanently remove these files from its view, even after multiple deletions.

Hi Michael! Can you please let us know if files are deleted through clean tab or browse tab, card used to delete files etc through this form g.co/help/filesbygoogle for us to investigate further. Appreciate your patience!

Overall I do not have any real complaints. Although from time to time I do have a issue with pictures or videos just kinda disappearing & then some time later I'll run across them again exactly where they should've always been . LoL so I'm not sure if this is due to a flaw in the app or if some other totally unrelated cause. Either way I'd recommend the app !

What’s new
- Ask Gemini about a PDF file in Files by Google. Say “Hey Google” or press & hold the power button, tap “Ask about this PDF”, then ask a question. To use this feature, your device must have Android 15, a Gemini Advanced subscription, and use Gemini as your assistant app. This feature will be rolling out soon.
- Use Quick Share to receive files directly from Files by Google.
- Move files to the Safe Folder from the Recents section without opening them.
