was WAY WAY WAY better when you could pay the monthly & download stuff to your device to read whenever - now it's as bad as audible cuz you can't download to device, have to use compatible reader/app AND you can't even read things you've previously saved unless you've paid. THE ONE NICE THING is that the $12.99 covers both scribd & everand, & if you're logged into scribd when you open everand it will log you in automatically.

I lost my membership and all saved lists. Their customer service treats you like a novice computer user. I changed my premium membership from monthly to yearly and they are saying you have 30 days free trial! I also lost all of my saved lists. They punished me for being a loyal member for the last 7 years. Didn't expect this from Scribd. Don't trust them for a yearly membership, I was doing fine on monthly membership but since I switched to a yearly one, I encountered all these issues.

DO NOT UPGRADE OR CHANGE SUBSCRIPTIONS- if you've been a loyal subscriber and you opt to "upgrade" to their new tiered format you will lose any books, audiobooks, & magazines, etc you've saved but did not open (ie your TBR list). You're now going to be charged an "unlock" for each and you get 3 books per month- unlimited reading is gone. And once you've switched you cannot go back to your legacy subscription. Amazon Unlimited, Legible, & Kobo are better options for readers.
