I've used this app since I was about 13 (23 now) and it's really intuitive for me, and the pro version isn't some subscription! It's a one time purchase, has been since I got it when I was 13. The desktop one is a one time $20 too. I'm not the most tech savvy, so idk what making and editing brushes is really like, but I really like this app, and the pro is definitely worth the couple bucks.

Sketchbook is good for a real art like digital art experience, which is what I like. I used the demo ver of this app on my laptop 5years ago and I loved it and wish I can love the app too, so please deal with the file corruption issue completely asap. I'll be waiting 🥰 (may,2024) So the file corruption issue seems to be resolved now! (nov,2024) I keep coming back to this app. Tried other art apps with real art vibes, this is the most stable on android. Not perfect, but fairly reliable.

I mostly love this - all the free features are all you need to make exceptional art. The premium features are probably cool, idk I haven't used them because I'm poor, but you don't need them. When they came out with premium I was worried they were gonna paywall important stuff but I'm glad they didn't. Only issue is a bug that suddenly appeared (01/18/25) - layers randomly corrupt and you have to clear the layer to even change layers or view layers. Please fix this bug for 5 stars!!
