Simple, relatively inexpensive and developers are open to suggestions. I think it's a solid app for what you're looking for. You can protect your entries with a pin and you can track your mood. You can even search through the entries for keywords. Only thing that makes me a bit icky is the notifications. I know you can turn them off, but if I opt in for them and I have done an entry during the day, why am I poked by the notification to do another entry???

Functionality-wise, the app is really good. The problem is the ads. I used it for 3 days without any ads. Then suddenly in the 4th day ads coming out from nowhere without me being able to identify the trigger (and it has no pattern) nor understand how to close the ads.

The app was good to use, until I had to change phone. Recently changed phone and want to backup and restore the diary to new phone, but can't get the photos to be copied across. Contacted the service email, responded quite fast at the beginning, told me to wait as they had sent my issue to tech support. Subsequent follow up response is there will be patch coming out soon. After that, followed up multiple times no response. :( Edit: Replied me once after I left a 1 star review.After that no more
