My favourite resource to learn reading/listening comprehension, pronunciation, intonation, and build vocab. The amount of word repetition in the beginner readers is perfect, making the words stick easily without it getting tiresome. The narrators are great. Love that the English translation shows both the meaning of a phrase and the literal meaning of each word in the phrase. Totally worth the small monthly price. I do wish the audio could keep playing in the background/while phone is locked.

Many other apps focus on spelling and individual words, but this app helps with words in context. I really like that the Russian and English words appear side by side, and 'Read out Loud' helps advancing speech. The app offers books ate different levels of advancement, from beginner up.

Organic immersion in children's literature as an introduction to the language. Harder works come in a logical order. Built-in grammar tutorials, and the translations are cover-and-checkable. Phenomenal, punctual tech support that fixed a weird error I had within 24 hours. It really adds joy to learning a language - there are stories to follow and meanings to interpret, not flashcards to rote-learn. One thing though is that I would like a dark mode to be added!
