Rainfall radar and rain forecast
Buienalarm also has an animated radar map with the precipitation forecast for the next two hours, accurate to 5 minutes. Buienalarm warns you of approaching (rain) showers, based on your location and/or set locations. Used to work great. Since a couple of months the forecasts are quite off, even for the current day. Rain notification don't appear, appear too late, or even after the showers. Can still be used to track showers but you kind of have to draw your own conclusions based on that. Cookies/privacy can only be disabled manually one by one or all accepted by one click as far as I could find.

Since recent the app keeps bothering me with the privacy options although I have disabled them all. And default the options are on again of course, to share with all kind of third parties. I think I am going to search for an alternative. And a new update again keeps on bothering me to enable the lo action privilege: NO, I want to use the app with a city as location, not my gps location. Very annoying!!!

We can understand that you would rather not pay for an app, but we use that to pay people who do their best to communicate the weather as clearly as possible so that you can plan your day better. That income comes from advertisements and otherwise from subscribers. I hope you understand better this way!

Extremely helpful application! Simple looking but also quite ugly. The 24 hour prediction feature, even though it finally has been released, has its limitations. It starts from 2 hours later from "now" 🤔. There could also have been more granularity with options for 4,8,12 and 24 hours, not only the two extremes 2 and 24 🤷♂️ For example, when trying to see if it will rain in 3 hours, it is impossible to see what will happen at that time, since the 24h window has everything too tiny looking! 👀
