The camera on the Pixel 7 was initially very good, but after a few updates the quality has gotten progressively worse. Photos are now automatically edited too heavily, resulting in an unnatural and fake-looking image. Unfortunately, there is no option to turn off this automatic editing. This is a shame, because the Pixel 7 had one of the best cameras on the market until Google decided to focus on over-editing. Photos now look like they were taken by a teenager with a heavy filter.

On first day, using pixel9pro, it took a VR PHOTO, works properly while viewing it. But, by the very next day, that option for "VR photos" was taken away.. since the vr function for the ONE photo taken, still works properly today. I gotta say hhmmmmm!!!! What excuse?? Why take away the ability to use a function that the phone is clearly still capable of doing?? They don't have time to explain anything beyond the monthly charges.

Please remove stupid and obstructive new astrophotography animation! With the plain old timer you could see how the image progressed, which is far more interesting, and critical to judge setup of camera. Love the pro mode settings, but there's still no more than 4 minutes astrophotography mode. New panorama mode on Pixel 9 Pro is better, but still lacking vs the old 360 photo sphere photo modes (Fisheye, full 360). Taking photos in quick succession still a bit too slow, real burst mode missing.
