a lot of bugs. I managed to glitch myself from the start area to the end by
walking and pressing the shop menu in the tunnels. Then the character walks
when you are in the shop menu and sometimes he can walk through the wall.

I've got some mixed feelings about EvoCreo. As someone who grew up with
Pokemon 15 years ago the nostalgia when I first opened up this game had me
almost in tears. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed pokemon in its time
simply for that reason. It's hard to review EvoCreo without comparing it to
Pokemon, so I'll be making that comparison a lot. It does exellent as a
sort of Pokemon-clone-but-not-really. In my opinion it has imprived upon
many aspects of pokepom, especially in the customisation of creatures. Each
unevolved version can generally evolve into a version coresponding to each
ealement, which adds a whole lot strategy to how you build your team. The
story is fairly engaging, and there are dlcs that add to that. I haven't
played those, so I can't attest to their value. They do cost money, but
that's fair enough. That does however bring up my main gripe with EvoCreo.
Each creo is assigned a 1 to 10 star rating and its stats is reflected by
its rating. This means you can encounter a rare creo with abysmal stats or
a common creo with amazing stats. This is am interesting system, but the
problem is that the high rated creos are very rare, and as I mentioned the
game has micro transactions. Essentially the only way to get the super high
rated creos outside of increadible luck is by a lootbox system. This is
again of course luck of the draw and the chances of getting the creo you
want from these boxes are slim. Add to that the rarity of high rated creos
in the wild and you end up with a system that feels designed to push the
player towards the lootboxes. This is of course not uncommon in the world
of mobile gaming, but it's still a horrible practice and it really takes
away from the game for me. It does also have some bugs, especially with
combat. Sometimes the game freezes mid combat or the combat music doesn't
play. Sometimes music doesn't play in the overworld either. Overall I think
it's a great game, but it's held back from its true potential by a few key
problems. If they increased the spawnrate of higher rated creos in the
wild, or removed the lootbox system (the full game is pay to play anyway,
so why they need microtransactions is beyond me) and iron out some bugs and
I'd give this game a shining recommendation. As it stands I'd still
recommend it, but warn of its issues.
