This is the worst airline app I have used. It may work 1 out of 5 times for purchasing a ticket. I just tried to add a checked bag to my reservation, and all I could get was "Bad request" or "Ups! Algo salió mal." I don't know why it cannot be improved after years of these problems.

Your app keeps crashing. Initially, I couldn't complete my flight's payment as there was an error on the checkout, every single time, with every one of my cards (credit and debit). I had to purchase my tickets over the phone and when finally I added my flights on the app, I realised that I couldn't make any additional changes (e.g.: buying a better seat, upgrade, etc.). I can't check in on the app either.

My wife and I liked Avianca's service. Avianca tries to be on time, there were some delays in our flights but it was not too bad. They offered a seat belt for our lap baby which hadn't happened in the other airlines we used before. The attendants were kind, spoke English (not required but a plus) and they were professional. Lastly, I want to add that Avianca solved a documentation issue very promptly. I submitted the requested information one night and the problem was solved the morning after.
