Travel through the four valleys to save the kingdom from the ancient evil.
Your uncle Brent raised you as a skilled hunter. Fate, however, gave you a different path than a peaceful village life. An ancient evil awakened, shattering the whole kingdom. Dark monsters climbed out of holes and people died under the falling mountains. You are left alone to face the great evil. You must set out on a long journey through the four valleys and save the kingdom on the brink of destruction. Your courage and your skills will forge a new hero of the kingdom.

HotK 3 is not that good compared to the rest of the series, especially to it's predecessor, HotK 2. The devs tried to experiment and add new RPG features, which turned out dull, repetitive and unrewarding. Points for giving it out free. Worth a playthrough still. Very tedious at times. HotK Lost Tales is really good, so they returned the series to form.

I like the vibe, music and the interface, why 2 stars? Well like some other folks I got to lvl10 swordsmanship, lvl11 archery and I got stuck because I ran out of food. I can't rest to get hearts back and I can't continue, because I can't kill a snake thats blocking my way - no hearts to engage it. I already sold everything and completed every quest I had. Edit: I started flipping items based on the Google walkthrough and I completed the game, the story was cool, only issue I have is resources.

Decent game but I've invested several hours now and despite only using my sword where necessary to clear paths or get a higher combat level to progress, the sword breaks and I cannot kill things to go any further. Currently waiting for days for a couple of spiders to respawn so I can at least kill them and get to level 18 so I can kill the Orc blocking my tunnel. I understand you can make your own weapons a bit later in the game but I'm blocked now

We are sorry you have troubles playing the game. Yes, later in the game, you can learn blacksmith skill and make the weapons (you will need the resources though). Regarding the time, the game doesn't run in the real time, so it's useless to wait for respawn. In-game time passes only by doing actions in the game (traveling, resting or doing quests).
