Interesting take on the genre and a lot of neat features. The game is unfortunately unplayable even at early stages. On the first stage your forced to fight 4 star enemies, no way around it, and they can begin with 9 cards in play and one of them being a 15/30 that attacks twice... This is before you play your first of only 2 cards.

The balance on this game is so overwhelmingly wonky that it becomes a slog to play. Units die too quickly, attack poorly, are a pain to replace, and the enemies go from stupidly easy to crushingly difficult within a single level. No relics,no meta progression and no real roguelike features aside from a basic "chose your next level" style map. I really want to like it, but right now, it's not really worth the playtime.

Gave up after about four hours.. The AI is hopelessly dumb. You can't even optionally control your own cards, and they will outwardly suicide-attack opponents. The music volume is blasting, even at minimum level. There's no "redo move" or "restart level" options, so closing the game entirely is the only way to fix mistakes (like your cards killing themselves). Some boss-levels are wildly OP, way too early. Making them useless. The game has a lot of potential, and the variety is great, but damn.
