About this game

Quetzal is the ultimate indie deck builder based on Aztec mythology.

āš”ļø Experience the unique turn based dueling system with lots of strategic depth and various play styles.

šŸ² Bring ancient Mesoamerica to life by summoning fearsome Aztec deities and Legendary Creatures onto the battlefield. As in Magic The Gathering (MTG), you attack with your creatures and try to reduce your opponent's Life Points to zero.

āœØ Upgrade your cards to increase their potency. Upgrade your base to get more loot and unlock more game modes.

šŸ”„ Can be played offline. If you like old-school turn based card games like YuGiOh and Magic The Gathering, this game is sure to please!

It's simple with simple constructs, and makes you think about every little detail and move you make at the same time, if you mess up once you can't take it back and with the pace of the games it's quick or can be long, good campaign, takes a minute to get the hang of but even someone good can and will make big mistakes, the strats aren't complicated and super easy to play on the go 5 stars.

Monetization akin to something like Clash Royale with relatively unengaging and not so well thought out rules. The only thing that ramps is your mana, with draws and summons creatures both using the same resource you only get 3 of a turn. This leads to long, slow, annoying back and forth games that feel more akin to War than YuGiOh or MTG. I respect the ideas but did not enjoy the execution at all.

I like how this game feels. Gives you an offline option for times you don't want to set up your data/wifi for it. I really wish other card games gave that freedom. Only 4 stars though because for some reason I can't withdraw an attack in case I made a mistake or change my mind.
