Attack the Block: Shoot'em Up

Im updating my review after playing for a while: the game started out great, but after progressing to a certain point the game stops letting you progress. The power ups delivered during gameplay stop coming. I can make it to the level boss without hitting a single thing, but my shooting power is so low from no power ups available that it's not worth shooting the boss for the next five minutes just to destroy him. The power ups were delivered consistently during the lower levels, but not further in the game and it forced you to simply replay the same level twenty times to try beating it. It has stopped being fun and is simply monotonous now. If no update comes soon, I'll be uninstalling it. It's quickly turning in to a cash grab to progress

I love this game but now I'm on level 83 and perfectly stuck. My ship is totally maxed out, but can't go any further because it just can't do enough damage to continue. The levels and ships don't scale together and it breaks the game very quickly. Instead of locking ships by level maybe unlock requirements could be connected to the previous ship's upgrades or based on rank. The game is nearly perfectly ruined because of this problem

It's a fun game but unless you pay for the newer ships passed level 140 you're gonna have a bad time. The RNG is terrible when it comes to bonuses that could potentially help you beat levels. I spent 5 minutes in one level dodging in the third wave of balls wanting power ups and when a bonus is given it's a magnet. other times when I'm max power I'm looking for a shield or a wave bonus and everything I eliminate is a power up. Balls come down too fast for you to be able to destroy anything...
