About this app

In partnership with thousands of public safety agencies, Everbridge offers the most trusted information available at a neighborhood level to keep residents informed - all delivered directly to your mobile device. Messages range from emergencies and crime advisories to important announcements, reminders and community updates.

You can also connect with your employer or university to receive vital information during critical events or while managing your response to an incident. Your workplace, school, or similar organization may also allow you to view your schedule or create your own alert to send an SOS when in need of assistance.

With full control over privacy settings, you decide what information is shared and when, including your location, images and videos. This information will not be shared outside of Everbridge or the organization with which you have purposefully connected.

Please note: battery consumption will increase when GPS is running in the background.

Unfortunately it doesn't cover Arizona at all. It says it doesn't and I wish I had the ability to add the screen capture I took showing their message. Meanwhile, I don't know whether to evacuate. This is the dumbest app I have ever downloaded.

It's important to get emergency notifications, but getting phone calls at 5AM about a fire weather watch is not an emergency. What WOULD be an emergency is an actual fire where my area has some level of evacuation. Actually any weather notification should not be getting phone calls, maybe texts, unless it's something like a tornado warning. So really think what you want notifications for. You can also edit what times it can't call you.

Good concept but very poor execution. To subscribe to surrounding towns/areas in addition to the town/city of your residence one needs to establish separate accounts. And the message about user name or account already exists keeps coming up. Programmers are very naive about the idea of a resident being effected by surrounding areas, not just where one lives. For this app to be truly useful, their thinking must change.
