I will rate this app 5 stars without this app I don't know how good my vocabulary would've been in russIan. This app is a GAME CHANGER and will teach you enough words to get into the language. The only downside is they don't explain sentences. But for words this app is 10/10 also the 20k flowers isn't difficult at all to reach if you truly are learning a language and practice words everyday you get the flowers easily

(Streak still reduced over a week later.) 427 day streak was just reduced to 292 days after last update! Similar thing happened with the Swedish version (which is now fixed, but Russian has not been) Russian is my main focus and this is annoying as I rely on my streak to see how long I've been using the app. I messaged in the app, so hopefully something can be done (have not gotten response yet). Will update review if this issue gets fixed.

Been using for about a week. The lessons are easy, although very repetitive but that's the same with most language apps. The only issue I've had is with the voice recognition being terrible. It isn't required to pass lessons, but hard to practice pronunciation when you're saying a one syllable word and it shows something crazy like you said a 3 syllable word that starts with a different letter. I would also recommend learning Cyrillic before using the app, unless your focus is only on speaking.

But, no need to get upset, because, you can learn the pronunciation of words & sentences from the audios recorded by native-speaking voice actors in professional recording studios.
