SoundHound makes it simple to discover music playing around you. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home, in your car, or anywhere else. Just open the app, hit the big orange button, and we’ll tell you exactly what song is playing!
SAVE YOUR MUSIC JOURNEY
All the songs and lyrics you discover will be kept in your own personal history, and you’ll have a Music Map to look up exactly where you heard that song you loved so much. You can also connect your Spotify account to build playlists, explore music across genres, and find new favorites—all with real-time lyrics.

Why force people to keep pressing buttons in nested menus? We want to identify music QUICKLY and SAFELY. Edit: They seem to have FINALLY fixed this problem. Edit 2: the program no longer identifies music AT ALL. Everything is saved as if it will be IDed later. It never does. And even when it WAS working, the competition almost always had a better database. Get your act together or your company will perish. That would be a shame. You used to have a very useful program.

This app used to be great but in the last few months it cannot identify this simplest songs quite frequently. Shazam, which I didn't want to use due to the direct connection to Apple music, turn down to be significantly better at. identifying songs. I really don't understand because I've used this app for years and it used to work great. Very disappointed that it no longer does.

I paid for this app and used to love using it. Now, I'm very unhappy with how the app has been working. It seems that if I try to listen to a song or group of songs using the in-app history using YouTube or even Spotify, all I get these days is "an error occurred initializing the YouTube player. Then there is when I try to do a search using the search, it's unable to find anything, a waste of time. If I try another music search-type app, that app seems to locate the song, usually in seconds.
What's new
With this release, we are adding support for Android 12; this means users with the newest Android hardware can be sure SoundHound will continue running as smoothly as possible. Now go out there and discover some new favorites you can listen to in SoundHound!
