We just got back from a trip to the Dominican Republic and we stayed at Melia Punta Cana, and it was incredible. We're already planning our next trip. As we loved our experience, we wanted to stay with Melia, so I downloaded the app. A little disappointed. Having filters seems like such a basic option on an app, but there's nothing. If I want to look for adults only or LEVEL upgrade, I have to go searching through every single location. It's so inconvenient and frustrating, we may not use it.

There's an issue on Android 13 the prevents a booking from being added to the wallet. It looks like the permissions being requested do not match the options available in this version. None of the advertised features relating to the booking seem to be available. The honest and decent approach would be to either fix the app or stop making false claims for its capabilities.

Pretty useless app. And has never worked properly in the many years its been available. Will not let you complete online check in - error/awaiting contract/pick a winner. Often crashes on trying to book through it. Won't let you cancel a reservation through it. About the only thing you can usually do is take offers out. Hard to understand how a major hotel chain can't get a simple app working.
