How to log on to Mobile Banking
• If you’re registered for HSBC Online Banking, you can use your existing details
• If you’re not yet registered, simply download the app, then select ‘Register now’.

The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it, or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

I have used this app for years and it has always been perfectly functional and relatively intuitive. However, recently it often just doesn't load and only a phone restart will make it do so. The logo appears and it just hangs there. I know others have reported the same experience so I'm guessing HSBC's developers are on to it but it has been some months now which is disappointing.

When the app is working it does everything I need. I've used the app for years but the last few months as others have reported there are issues technically with it freezing after use needing a phone restart to work. I tried to submit all the technical details via online chat but they were unable to escalate them through to someone useful. feel free to reach out and I can provide my testing notes that might actually help fix this for everyone after months of trying.

Ok so with your newest update you've Essentially blocked me from ever using it again because it states I haven't downloaded 3 apps from the market. One of the apps is the actual phone interface launcher! I can't uninstall the front end operating system I am using. One of the apps allows me to mute youtube adverts automatically and the other one (Menu Button) just let's me take screenshots on the phone. Your update is absolutely disgusting!!!
