About this audiobook

Surviving the zombie apocalypse was hard, but finding true love might be fatal.

Urban farmer Miranda Tucci is lucky to be alive in what's left of California's Silicon Valley, despite a love life that's dead on arrival. Then an old flame turns up at nearby Santa Clara University, and she wonders if her DOA love life might have a pulse.

A ruthless governing council controls the cure for the zombie virus. When Miranda joins a plot to steal it, the ghosts of her past collide with the present. Will the vaccine continue to be used for political advantage, or can Miranda survive long enough to usher in a new age of civilization? It's only the fate of humanity that's suddenly resting on her shoulders. If she can bring her love life back from the dead, how tough can saving the world be?

A post-apocalyptic zombie survival adventure! Listen to the award-winning series today!

As an East Bay native, I love stories that take place in settings I'm familiar with, and this was a fun ride. The characters are love/hateable, the story is evolving and you can tell it'll lead to some interesting twists down the road. Lots of action and descriptive fights. The narrator does a good job differentiating characters with her voices. Definitely a good series for those of us who like the zompoc ge

I have been eagerly anticipating this audiobook for quite some time, as I am a huge fan of the books. The last book of the trilogy just released, so I read book 3 and then listened to the audiobook for book 1 back to back. The adventures of Miranda and the gang translates really well to audio. The writing in this series always painted a picture that I could just see while reading, and that's even more true for the audiobook. The action and adventure is really exciting, the gory parts feel a bit more gory, and the steamy parts generate some SERIOUS steam. I felt like the narrator hit her stride after a few chapters. The first few chapters were good, but it got better several chapters in (though the prologue with Father Walter was great!). I didn't find her accents to be the greatest, but that wasn't distracting or anything. Her voice is like honey. The outside world just fell away while listening to the narrator's voice. And even though her voice is like honey, the intensity of the action and zombie fighting parts was there. I enjoyed this audiobook and I'm really looking forward to the next one!

At the start of this book, it says “in memory of” (or something) somebody who loves a good zombie novel. I don’t know what the hell a good zombie novel is, but I think I just listened to one. I’ve always hated zombies. They’re off-brand, discount vampires that operate on nonsense logic. Even the characters in the novel mention several times that zombies don’t make any sense. Most of my reviews are review copies. So some might wonder why I’d request a zombie novel if I know I hate them. Aside fr
