As she waited in the darkness of the auditorium to watch their youngest son take his diploma in hand, Ellen Brighton had taken her husband’s hand and squeezed it. Deborah Raney’s first novel, A Vow to Cherish, inspired the World Wide Pictures film of the same title and launched her writing career after twenty happy years as a stay-at-home mom. Deb now has more than two dozen published novels. She and her husband, Ken Raney, recently traded small-town life––the setting of many of Deb's novels––for life in the (relatively) big city of Wichita, Kansas. Julie Lancelot lives in a cabin with her wonderful husband of twenty-three years, three feisty teenagers, and a lazy beagle. She was a tax auditor for nine years before spending twelve years as a stay-at-home mom. Most recently, she has been a substitute teacher for special education classes, and now enjoys narrating audiobooks.
