Audiobook Review: Overall – 5 Performance – 5 Story – 4 Good start to a new series. I became a fan of Andriana Herrera’s writing when I read her Dreamers series of M/M romance stories. I loved them for a lot of reasons, one of which is that they challenged me to learn new ethnic words and exposed me to new cultures. So, when I got the chance to listen to a review copy of her new book, One Week to Claim it All, I was excited to listen to it. The story was really good. I loved how strong the female lead was. Esmeralda was more than capable of running the media empire that her father started. The main problem would be dealing with her ex-lover who she felt had betrayed her years before. Rodrigo never stopped wanting Esmeralda, even though he’d had several relationships since they broke up. He’s been working for Sambrano Studios for years, working his way up the ladder, and he’s prepared to run the company now that its owner has passed away. He’s prepared to challenge Esmeralda for the top position. This was a really sexy story; Esmeralda and Rodrigo are really hot together. The audio performance by Frankie Corzo was fantastic. Her voice was easy to listen to and she did really well with male voices (something I think a lot of female narrators have trouble with). I would certainly listen to more audiobooks that she performs if the opportunity arises. All-in-all this was a great story and I enjoyed listening to it. It made performing mundane household tasks less mundane. 😊 A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
