Bennets and Bingleys: A Pride and Prejudice Hospital Romance Variation

Lizzy Bennet didn't mean to train as a nurse at the grand old teaching hospital of St. Pemberley's - not until the scholarship she was working for was snaffled out from under her by sneaky slimy Caroline Bingley. (And until Lizzy's mother, a former nurse herself, hustled her into it.) But now she's settling in quite nicely: Emma Woodhouse and Fanny Price are top pals, and she's buddying up with the only slightly unhinged Mary Crawford, too. (And her handsome theatre actor brother, Henry!)

The only fly in Lizzy's ointment is her sister Jane, a second-year at St. Pem's. It's totally against regs and ultra vires to fall for a patient - but Lizzy is worried that Jane has gone and lost her heart to charming, helpless Charles Bingley, after he was brought into A&E after a traffic accident.

Not to mention moody, brooding consultant surgeon Fitzwilliam Darcy, who seems to be around every corner and tripping Lizzy up wherever she goes...
