What an incredible experience! Any fan of DS9 would do well to listen to this audiobook. Robinson's narration is impeccable and it truely feels like a proper addendum to the TV series. If I could give this a 6 out of 5 I would. I only wish there were more audiobooks like this, I feel like I've been spoiled by such a unique experience. (The actor who plays the character "Garak" in the show both wrote this book and narrated it, for those who are unsure.)

If you're like me, and get nervous about stories maintained as part of a corporate IP, let me assure you that this is a Star Trek story worth listening to. things of consequence happen and nothing related in this tale feels at all disposable. Andrew J Robinson has done excellent work here. He completes the portrait of DS9's Garak in a narration that is at times gripping, at times amusing, and always entertaining. Fans of the show with a sense of the deeper tragedies which underlie the character's makeup will immediately love the direction of this story and how it is told. A must for fans of the show.

What a fantastic book! I could not put it down when it was first released all those years ago. Like nearly all of the Deep Space novels that follow it, it is highly-underrated. Andrew Robinson delivered in both the written and performed word. No DS9 fan will be disappointed.
About the author
Andrew J. Robinson is an actor, author, and former director of the Master of Fine Arts acting program at the University of Southern California. He's most notably known for his role as the Scorpio Killer in the feature film Dirty Harry and as Elim Garak in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
