About this audiobook

'Well, it was like this. Come and I'll tell you about the time I tricked the last dragon of all.' Jack has an extraordinary new friend. Tashi comes from a place far away and tells the best stories – about how he escaped from a war lord and flew to Australia on a swan. About how he was chased by a giant. Included in this audiobook are the original stories from Tashi, as well as Tashi and the Giants.

About the author

Anna Fienberg grew up in a house filled with books. Her mother was a teacher librarian who relished stories as much as chocolates. Anna started writing stories when she was eight, but never imagined being an author. She studied psychology, fascinated by the dark world of dreams. She gave up counselling after an unfortunate incident with an enraged man and a chair (he missed!), began writing and became the editor of School Magazine.

Anna and Barbara Fienberg write the Tashi stories together. When Anna was a child, Barbara read bedtime stories to her and they would travel to all the secret places in the world through books. They started making up the Tashi stories when Barbara remembered how, when she was a child, she used to tell stories, creative fibs... whoppers! And kids would crowd around, dying to hear her latest tale – and over many cups of tea they cooked up Tashi!

Stig Wemyss is Australia’s most loved audiobook narrator for children and young adults. He has lent his voice to the work of some of Australia’s most accomplished authors, including Andy Griffiths, Paul Jennings, Tim Winton, Marcus Zusak, Margaret Clarke and, most recently, Andrew Daddo. For the last three years he has been the recipient of the ABIA audiobook of the year award, including for the widely acclaimed debut novel by Trent Dalton, Boy Swallows Universe. Stig has written his own successful audiobook series entitled, The Tripp Diaries, which he also narrates. His success and popularity have led him to develop a one-man comedy show for kids entitled, “Stig Live @ The Library”, which has performed in schools and libraries around Australia, New Zealand and The United Kingdom.
