About this audiobook

From bestselling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure. In the traditional folktale of 'Sleeping Beauty,' the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him...as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.

This is definitely not for me. I bought all three of the books and I couldn't get past book one. I don't mind erotic, in fact I love when it is written in waves. Like an orgasm happens in waves so should seduction. But this was just a run on sentence of mindless brutal sex. Punishment did not equal to passion when there is so much forceful degradation with no end in sight in it. But to each her own. The raw humiliation without reciprocal love is not my cup of tea. But it might be someone else's though. I now understand why there was a very lengthy preface.

Made me excited about reading this series. I read it the first time when I was young and it gave me a sex drive that others didn't have. This is the second time I have purchased series for another and has been a very interesting ride! - Jessica Rawlins
