Om denne lydbog

"Asa's Prayer" portrays the heartfelt plea of a mother for her ailing son, Asa. In this poignant narrative, the mother beseeches divine intervention for Asa's health and well-being. The prayer reflects a mother's unconditional love and the depth of her concern for her child's recovery, offering a touching exploration of faith and hope in the face of adversity. "Asa's Prayer" intertwines a mother's plea for her ailing son with Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat Major. The prayer encapsulates a mother's deep love and concern for Asa's health. The accompanying piano piece, dedicated to Jane Stirling, evokes a longing for nature's beauty and the joyous sounds of life. Together, prayer and music create a poignant narrative, inviting reflection on love, hope, and the enduring power of a mother's prayer.

Om forfatteren

Frederic Chopin was a French composer of Polish descent and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era, who wrote primarily for the solo piano. He gained and has maintained renown worldwide as one of the leading musicians of his era, whose poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation. Chopin was born in what was then the Duchy of Warsaw, and grew up in Warsaw, which after 1815 became part of Congress Poland. A child prodigy, he completed his musical education and composed many of his works in Warsaw before leaving Poland at the age of 20, less than a month before the outbreak of the November 1830 Uprising.
