Dear Diary I am writing to you with the aid of my Plastic Cactus novelty pen. You know, the one that is cute and stylish and hard to hold. It is winter in Peppercorn Valley and we had a bonfire. At school. At night. We also had a lantern walk – and I spied on Journey’s End. Journey’s End is the creepiest house in Peppercorn Valley. The old ladies who live there have painted weird symbols all over the outside walls. Why? What could those symbols mean? Are the old ladies in danger? I have a hunch they are and my hunches always lead to adventure. Truly Tan

लेखकको बारेमा

Jen grew up in a small wheatbelt town in the Wimmera. She was a devoted fan of Enid Blyton, in particular the Famous Five. In fact, when she was ten, Jen had her own Secret Spy club. Her bestselling Truly Tan series is based on her experiences in that club (which involved swearing an oath of secrecy, keeping notes on the next door neighbours, sleeping in an old caravan on her friend's farm... and eating lots of chocolate cake).

Roslyn Oades is a creative all-rounder: voice artist, performer, award-winning playwright, director and occasional muppet operator. As a voice artist she particularly enjoys character work and her diverse array of cartoon voices – from plucky kids to evil villains – can be heard on many of Australia’s best-known TV series for children including: Tracey McBean, Bananas in Pyjamas, Kitty is Not a Cat, Dogstar, Zigby, Sherazade: The Untold Stories, Sea Princesses, Bambaloo, ZuZu & the Supernuffs, Kangaroo Creek Gang and Toybox.
