The book was great and did an admirable job of filling in the gaps between Batman and Batman Returns, even resolving a few lingering questions from the original and introducing characters from the latter. I only had one MAJOR issue and it solely affects the audiobook: if this is clearly meant to place the listener in the world of Batman '89, why did Will Damron narrate like he'd never seen it and knew nothing about the cast?! Keaton, Nicholson, and the like are all inseparable from their roles and the reading was flat across the board with zero attempt to invoke the movie. I know Damron is an award-winning narrator, but he's the wrong guy for this. I hope, for the next one, they give Marc Thompson a call (& January LaVoy, since they have the number). They missed a huge opportunity here.

I remember in 1989 my auntie Betty took me to see this and it was so great she loved it and this was just great it took me back into Burtons Gotham and back to the mission.
