The Black Prism: Book 1 of Lightbringer

In contrast to the low review about the narrator I loved the narration and I have hunted down other books narrated by him because I think he was amazing. The book itself blew me away. I was recommended it by a friend that I trust but wasn't given any details. I came in with no expectations, I hadn't even read the blurb. I've now done the same for others and they have also loved it. The writing is great, character building and their introduction is done really well. Plot is great with all manner of highs and lows and switchbacks. The series itself is one of the only series I have enjoyed in a very long time.

This book is incredible, I highly recommend it However the audio version is horrible. The light and funny, often sarcastic tones of many of the characters are completely lost with this narrator as his accent is very posh and reads in a halting manner. Very disappointed. Completely ruins the story

this entire series is one of the best ive read/ listened to. narrator is awesome !
