Skunk Cunningham is an 11-year-old girl in a coma. She has a loving dad, an absent mother and a brother who plays more X-Box than is good for him. She also has the neighbours from hell: the five Oswald girls and their thuggish father Bob, vicious bullies all of them, whose reign of terror extends unchallenged over their otherwise quiet suburban street. Too bad that Saskia can't keep her big mouth shut. When, after a quick fumble, she broadcasts Rick's deficiencies to anyone who will listen, it puts ideas into her younger sister's silly head - ideas that will see Rick dragged off to prison, humiliated, and ultimately, in his father's words, 'broken' by the experience.

Daniel Clay is a writer from Southampton. After eight years of working at Norwich Union printworks and submitting novels to agents and publishers, the manuscript for his first novel, Broken, was picked up at Curtis Brown.
Colin Moody's acting credits extend across the theatre stage, small screen and silver screen. Assuming leading roles in numerous productions for companies such as the Sydney Theatre Company and the Melbourne Theatre Company, his theatre work includes Cruel and Tender, The Crucible, Great Expectations and Angels in America. He has appeared in television dramas such as Something in the Air, Stingers and The Flying Doctors, and his film credits include Road to Alice, Escape from Absolom and The Wayfarers.
