About this audiobook

Sophie Dixon is determined to leave her tragic past behind and forge a bright future on her beloved farm. While looking to buy a new horse, she is drawn into her neighbour Aaron Laidlaw's orbit, despite the bad blood between their families. As the racing season unfolds, Sophie and Aaron's feelings for each other deepen. But Aaron is torn, haunted by a dark secret he fears can never be forgiven – especially by Sophie. Sophie believes herself strong, but the truth behind her mother's death will test her strength, and her love, to the limit. She's been broken once. No one wants to see her broken again. Least of all the man who has grown to love her.

About the author

Cathryn Hein was born in South Australia's rural south-east and is a popular author of rural romance and romantic adventure novels. She was a Romance Writers of Australia Romantic Book of the Year finalist with Santa and the Saddler, and is a regular Australian Romance Reader Awards finalist. Cathryn's first three novels: Promises, Heart of the Valley and Heartland, were finalists in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Australian Romance Readers Awards. She has written six novels in the Levenham Love Story series including Rocking Horse Hill, along with more than 8 standalone rural romances. The French Prize was her first romantic adventure story. Cathryn loves nothing more than a rugged rural hero who’s as good with his heart as he is with his hands. Her romances are warm and emotional, and feature themes that don’t flinch from the tougher side of life but are often happily tempered by the antics of naughty animals. Her aim is to make you smile, sigh, and perhaps sniffle a little, but most of all feel wonderful. Cathryn lives in Newcastle, Australia with her partner of many years, Jim. When she’s not writing, she plays golf (ineptly), cooks (well), and in football season barracks (rowdily) for her beloved Sydney Swans AFL team.

Stephanie Wall is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (BA in Music Theatre, 2016). Since graduating, her professional credits include the Australian Tour of Crossroad’s The Wizard of Oz as understudy Dorothy/Ensemble and TML Enterprises’ Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as understudy Narrator/Ensemble. Stephanie has also appeared as Swing in The Who's Tommy with the Victorian Opera and Grace Under Pressure with Alternative Facts.
