Maggie Alderson was born in London, brought up in Staffordshire and educated at the University of St Andrews. She has worked on nine magazines – editing four of them – and is currently a fashion columnist with the Sydney Morning Herald and The Times. Her first two novels, Pants of Fire, and Mad About the Boy were bestsellers in Australia and the UK, and she was a co-editor of the charity anthology Big Night Out, in aid of War Child. She has also published two collections of non-fiction: Shoe Money and Handbag Heaven. She is married and moves a lot. She currently lives in Sydney, Australia.
Nicky Talacko attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. After graduating, Nicky appeared in many stage productions, but is probably best remembered for her role as Kelly Hurst in the British television series Family Affairs. Nicky also played the lead roles in the feature films Baby Blues and A Mind of Her Own. Nicky then returned to Melbourne and has completed roles in the respected Australian television productions Blue Heelers and MDA.
