About the author

Christopher Brookmyre was born on September 6, 1968 in Glasgow. He attended the University of Glasgow and later became a Scottish novelist. His novels combine politics, comedy and social comment with a narrative. His first novel was Quite Ugly One Morning published in 1996. He followed that with One Fine Day in the Middle of the Night, All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses an Eye, A Boy Did It and Ran Away, A Snowball in Hell and Want You Gone. His novel Black Widow won the 2017 Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award.
