The Last Astronaut: A Great De-evolution Novelette

This short story takes takes in the De-Evolution universe. It follows a man who answers the ad of a billionaire to travel to the edge of the solar system and be the last astronaut. The stories from the De-Evolution series focus on the characters and how they deal with the loss all around them and the inescapable extinction of the human race. The main character chose to leave Earth to escape the profundness of his own personal loss. As much as I enjoy, and will continue to enjoy, the De-Evolution stories, this one did not particularly hit home for me. I wasn't able to empathize with his particular loss and the choice he made as a result.

Perfect comment on today's tech. listened to offLine content in hopes of finding more good authors & relying what was written / narrated @ end of story & credits, to seek out more info where the broken links are lacking. The search will continue beyond the malfunctioning more books by/like this link. d Dropped a star due to missing link to more works. The author-&-narrator far surpass the medium they must work within.

This is a beautiful story that brought me to tears more than once. I could feel the pain, loss, and confusion as if it was my own. Its a quick one and well worth the time.
