Apie šią garsinę knygą

David's Prayer is a beautiful and moving poem that speaks to the human condition in a way that is both relatable and understandable. It is a prayer for strength and guidance, but also for understanding and forgiveness. In it, David speaks to God about his own struggles and fears, as well as his hope for the future. The poem is both personal and universal, and its message is one that we can all learn from.

This recording includes reading of the eponymous prayer followed by beautiful piano music based on original composition of Frederic Chopin. Piano composition includes: Nocturne in B Major, Op. 32 No. 1 — Andantino sostenuto. Simplicity of this nocturne's opening is contrasted by very dramatic and original ending. This arrangements is illustrative of Chopin's desire to make the music speak. This nocturne's rather characteristic design and melodic contour prepares for the unexpected towards the end. Chopin dedicated this piece to Madame la Baronne de Billing. Performed by Anton Kingsbury.

Apie autorių

Frederic Chopin was a French composer of Polish descent and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era, who wrote primarily for the solo piano. He gained and has maintained renown worldwide as one of the leading musicians of his era, whose poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation. Chopin was born in what was then the Duchy of Warsaw, and grew up in Warsaw, which after 1815 became part of Congress Poland. A child prodigy, he completed his musical education and composed many of his works in Warsaw before leaving Poland at the age of 20, less than a month before the outbreak of the November 1830 Uprising.
