He was White House Chief of Staff under President Gerald Ford and was elected six times to the US House of Representatives from Wyoming, eventually becoming the minority whip. He served as Secretary of Defense under President George H.W. Bush, overseeing America’s military during the 1991 Operation Desert Storm. He served as chairman and CEO of a Fortune 100 company, and as the forty-sixth Vice President of the United States, he served two terms under President George W. Bush during the dawn of the Global War on Terror, playing a key role in events that have shaped history.
Liz Cheney served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under President George W. Bush. She also served in the State Department and at the Agency for International Development under President George H.W. Bush. She is an attorney and specialist in US Middle East Policy. She is a national security policy contributor for Fox News and is the founder, along with Vice President Dick Cheney, of the Alliance for a Strong America, a non-profit organization dedicated to education and advocacy on behalf of a strong national defense. She is married to Phil Perry, and they have five children.
Edward Herrmann's films include Nixon, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Annie, and The Aviator. On television's Gilmore Girls he starred as the patriarch, Richard Gilmore. He has also appeared on The Good Wife, Law & Order, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, and Oz. He earned an Emmy Award for The Practice, and remains well-known for his Emmy-nominated portrayals of FDR in Eleanor and Franklin and Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years. On Broadway, he won a Tony Award for his performance in Mrs. Warren's Profession.
