About this audiobook

The year was 1642. A cruel man named Jasper Davis, a captain of a mercenary band, marched his men into the quaint town of Willow Creek. Their arrival was as ominous as a storm cloud, casting a pall over the once peaceful community. With a brutality that echoed through the ages, Davis and his men rounded up over a hundred townspeople, herding them like cattle into a desolate field on the outskirts of town.

A prison of starvation and terror was erected. The captives were denied food and water, their bodies wasting away as their spirits withered. Those who dared to flee were met with swift and brutal punishment, their mutilated bodies added to a growing mass grave that became a macabre monument to their suffering.

To instill further terror, the heads of some victims were impaled on wooden stakes, their vacant eyes haunting the survivors.

Jasper Davis, a demon in human skin, eventually met his end, his body laid to rest in a crypt constructed above the mass grave. A cruel irony, as if to mock the tormented souls below. Time passed, and in 1935, a new cemetery was established, its manicured lawns and marble markers a stark contrast to the horrors buried beneath.

For decades, the secrets of the grave remained undisturbed. Until 1965. A local drunk, his mind clouded by alcohol, stumbled into the old cemetery. Drawn by a morbid curiosity, he found the crypt and, with a drunken bravado, smashed his whiskey bottle against the entrance.

“Jasper Davis, you coward!” he slurred, his voice echoing in the still night. “Come out and fight like a man!”

A tremor shook the ground, a cold wind whipped through the cemetery. The crypt opened, and a skeletal figure emerged, its eyes burning with an unnatural intensity. The drunk man's slurred insults were abruptly silenced as sobriety crashed over him.

Terror replaced his bravado as he stumbled backward, desperately seeking an escape. But the crypt's entrance slammed shut, trapping him in the tomb of horrors.

“Please, have mercy!” he begged, his voice trembling.
