Echo Power

This is the first book in the Echo Power trilogy, a dark, steamy dystopian paranormal romance. Allison and Dax's story is well written, steamy, suspenseful, and action packed, filled with unpredictable twists and turns. Allison, a human, is strong, smart, and feisty. Dax, a beast, is dark, enigmatic, and determined. I liked the banter, and the slow burn romance. This is a great enemies-to-lovers romance. The world building is original and captivating. Impossible to put it down. John Hartley and Stella Hunter did an outstanding job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Echo Dominion, the next book in the series.

Fantastic PNR & Narration🎧 Thrilling & Captivating! ~ Wow, this is an amazing start to a new sci-fi fantasy, paranormal romance series set in an apocalyptic world. Anna Durand has truly outdone herself with this fascinating and imaginative novel and it is no ordinary story, she blended several genres together into this book and aced each one. It is an original and action-packed story that is captivating from start to end. The world building and character development is marvelous and out of this world. Allison Dahl, a librarian, runs for her life when the chaos hits and the apocalypse began. There are beasts and monsters tearing people apart, and everything around her is in ruins. Then one of those monsters captures her, accusing her it is all fault. Dax needed to find Allison, she is a key to what is going on and to finding her brother. His brother, Dr. Sefton Stainthorpe, has gone mad, but after dabbling in alchemy and quantum physics, he has discovered that he can manipulate the world and has put a plan in action to change it and everyone in it. Dax knows Allison has something to do with what happened, though he is not exactly sure what it is, but he plans on finding out and takes her with him to find his brother. She does not have a choice in the matter but goes because he can help keep her safe from the monsters. The two wind up making a great team, they start off an enemies but it does not take long for them to become lovers and to realize they are on the same side. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is an action packed, cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. I am looking forward to what comes next in this series with Grant’s story. Thank you Anna Durand for this fascinating story and the thrilling and wild ride. ~ 🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, John Hartley and Stella Hunter are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that was a perfect fit for that characters persona, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, grasped every single emotion from their character, had you feeling them, as well as the angst, the thrill and the suspense. These superbly talented narrators are versatile voice artists and entertaining storytellers. Thank you for another exceptional listen.
