About this audiobook

Elle Kennedy's next spicy and emotional romance in the blockbuster Avalon Bay series.

College student Cassie Soul hasn’t spent an entire summer in Avalon Bay in years, not since her parents divorced and her mother spitefully whisked her away to Boston. Now that her grandmother is selling the boardwalk hotel that’s been in their family for five decades, Cassie returns to the quaint beach town to spend time with family, ring in her twenty-first birthday...and maybe find herself a summer fling.

On her first night in town, she finds the perfect candidate: Tate Bartlett, Avalon Bay’s fun-loving golden boy.

Tate, sailing instructor and lovable player, is no stranger to flings. In fact, he’s always down for a good time. But the moment he meets Cassie, he knows she’s not the girl you play games with. Cassie is gorgeous, hilarious, and, frankly, the coolest person he’s ever met. The last thing he wants to do is risk breaking her heart, and so he reluctantly puts her in the friend-zone...only to realize he made a huge mistake. Soon, his attraction to Cassie becomes impossible to ignore. He wants that fling now. Big-time.

And maybe even something more.

As Cassie and Tate walk the line between friends and lovers, they’re about to discover that their situation is the least complicated part of this equation. Because Avalon Bay is full of secrets—and their relationship might not survive when those secrets come to light.

Whoa, I was not expecting the plot twist at the end of that one! Elle Kennedy always writes a terrific romance, and the characters are so interesting. Cassie and Tate make such a great couple, and the family members and townsfolk are very colorful. The Summer Girl is the third book in Elle Kennedy's Avalon Bay series, and I listened to this one as a standalone. I had no trouble following along, but belive me, I'm going to borrow the first two books from my library as soon as possible.

This young adult contemporary romance and the perfect beach/summer read was interesting and fun. I listened to the audio version. The voices of Caitlin Elizabeth and Teddy Hamilton were perfect in this dual narration. There was just the right amount of sexiness and lightness in their tones to portray the story perfectly. This is the story of a young adult, Cassie who is looking for the perfect fling for the summer. She meets Tate and knows that he's the one. But what do you do when the perfect candidate is determine to remain just friends, even after a super hot kiss? You go with the flow until the flow changes direction. My favorite scene is the steamy scene that has them watching each other from their respective bedroom windows while things get hot and heavy over the phone. Super hot! Overall, a spice level of 3. I loved their slow evolution to much more than friends and how they came to admit that there had to be that special feeling between them. Thanks to Macmillan audio for the gifted audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

LOVED CASSIE AND TATE SO MUCH!!! This summer fling friends to lovers romance was seriously so much fun! I loved the summer vibes and the banter between Cassie and Tate. The friendships between the side characters were also so much fun. Cassie and Tate had a spark from the beginning and when Tate decides a friendship would be better, he impulsively offers to be Cassie's wingman for the summer. As things start heating up, Tate realizes that is not what they want at all and agrees to a summer fling with Cassie. Cassie is only here for the summer and is heading back to school afterward, so she wasn't looking for anything serious but her connection with Tate completely shocked her. This book was so fun and easy to read! I was fully engaged the whole time and looking forward to where the characters would end up next. Their connection and ease together had me swooning! The drama was also giving! There were moments that truly had my jaw on the floor and I loved every minute of it. Such a fun read and cannot wait for more in this small town.
