About this audiobook

Celebrate Christmas with Tony & Kate Hetheridge

Tis the season for murder—and Lord & Lady Hetheridge are back on the case. When miserly millionaire Barnaby Galen is found dead in his crumbling mansion, police find two corpses on the scene: the murder victim and the murder weapon. The scene is a macabre spectacle: Galen’s lifeless body is accompanied by a ghastly human skeleton, seemingly ripped from a nightmarish twist on A Christmas Carol. This deadly apparition was rigged to scare him to death—but by who?

After a restorative retreat at his country manor, Tony Hetheridge is eager to get back to his job: private detective and consultant to Scotland Yard. His wife Kate, however, is still haunted by their last case’s violent end. In a bid to reignite her investigative passion, Tony teams up with their friend, DI Deepal Bhar, to delve into the dead man’s past. The Scrooge-like miser victim left behind a trail of enemies and a neighborhood brimming with eccentric suspects.

Will Kate be able to put the trauma behind her and resume her career at Scotland Yard? Or will Tony and Paul have to go it alone?

Curl up with Blue Christmas, a witty and heartfelt mystery with an ending sure to warm your heart. Perfect for the festive season or anytime you need a little holiday magic. Pick up Blue Christmas (Lord & Lady Hetheridge Book 6) today!

procedural, PTSD, flashbacks, support-system, surprises, suspense, British-detective, family, family-dynamics, friendship, class-consciousness, laugh-riot, law-enforcement, London, lol-humor, mental-health-issues, murder, murder-investigation, consultant, wealthy, situational-humor, verbal-humor***** What a busy book! Kate and "The Gov" are mostly healed from the physical horrors they suffered on an earlier case, Pol Bahr has been promoted and nudges Kate to come back to London (with Tony as consultant) to work this new case with him while the rest of Kate's family are still lodged in the countryside this week before Christmas. The case itself is weirder than most and the team have a lot of work to do. Meanwhile, Kate is having PTSD issues, Pol is trapped between his "smother" and changes in his private life, and there are a whole lot of surprises. This series is a whole lot of fun and laughs that make a mockery of reality. Love it! I really appreciate the talents of voice actor Matthew Lloyd Davies to help me with easy differentiation of so many characters in the audio, and he always underplays the scenes!
