Shandi Boyes is the author of the Perception series and the Enigma series. She lives in Queensland, Australia, with her husband and children.

Monique Makena lives in Washington, DC, where she has worked as an operative at the International Spy Museum and a docent at the Smithsonian. She enjoys Love Songs with Delilah, red wine, and her cockapoo, Snuggles. Her accents are acquired while people watching on the National Mall.
