Ernest Hemingway nació en Estados Unidos en 1899. Sus aventuras y su imagen pública tuvo mucha influencia sobre las generaciones posteriores. Ganó el Premio Pulitzer en 1953 por El viejo y el mar, y al año siguiente el Premio Nobel de Literatura por su obra completa.
