This was a wonderfully sweet novel. The way the author describes her environment and the delicious meals that pass by make you want to go to Italy to see and taste it for yourself. Vanessa is writing for a culinary magazine in Dubai when her editor sends her to Italy for a tourist trip to discover the best kept secrets of Italian cuisine and culture when she join them to explore the superb culinary landscape of Emilia-Romagna. The assignment sounds good to her, but when she arrives at La Villa Rosa there is no tourist in sight and no organizer either. In its place comes Enzo, a beautiful Italian man with a passion for food. Disappointed on the one hand, but charmed by Enzo, she allows him to show her around. Enzo is a divorced man and his love for his family prevents him from thinking about his own wishes and dreams. Until he falls under the spell of Vanessa. Sometimes chilly and cold but full of passion about his food. And that passion doesn't stop with the food! Beautiful characters worked out on paper. Beautiful how Vanessa opens up and changes because of the family life that she learns something from in Italy. Recommended I received an ARC from the author for my honest opinion on her book.
