Throughout, the impact of Islamic belief on scientific advancement, social structures, and cultural development is given due prominence, and the narrative is complemented by portraits of key personalities, inventions, and little known historical nuggets. The history of Islam and of the world's Muslims brings together diverse peoples, geographies, and states, all interwoven into one narrative that begins with Muhammad and continues to this day.

About the author
Firas Alkhateeb holds a master's degree in Middle Eastern studies with a specialization in Islamic intellectual history from the University of Chicago. He has been teaching at Darul Qasim in Chicago since 2014. Firas founded and writes the website Lost Islamic History.
Neil Shah is an Audie Award-nominated narrator and AudioFile Earphones Award winner who has recorded over one hundred audiobooks. A classically trained actor with an MFA from the Old Globe/University of San Diego program, Neil has appeared off-Broadway and on regional stages, as well as in film and television.
