About this audiobook

What Is MAHEM

Magneto Hydrodynamic Explosive Munition (MAHEM) is a kind of weapon that is currently being researched by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the United States Department of Defense. This type of weapon would use molten metal to pierce the armor of an adversary. Explosions would generate electromagnetic fields that would drive the molten metal in the opposite direction. The warhead of the bomb would be "packed inside a missile, projectile, or other platform," and it would be delivered to the target in that manner. It would first destroy an enemy vehicle by penetrating its armor and then exploding once it reached the inside, so destroying the vehicle completely from the inside out. Conventional explosively produced penetrators won't compare to this new weapon when it comes to effectiveness, control, and accuracy, according to DARPA's projections.
