Trinette and her family moved to Kentenna in the Amazon Rain forest, because her father had taken a construction job. She and her entire family found themselves camping by a flooded river before ever reaching Kentenna. Trinette passed the time by going out in the woods to draw. One day she met Tazon, an unusual creature of the rainforest. Once the river went down the family arrived in Kentenna where Trinette met Tyler, a young man near her own age. Soon after Trinette finds out that strange creatures and things happen in a rain forest. However, Trinette’s love for drawing and her adventuresome spirit keep her seeking for the truth about the strange happenings in the rain forest.

Karla Potter not only writes fiction fantasy novels but loves nature and does some of her best writing sitting on a stump in the woods out on her 5 ½ areas, which is only 20 miles from the base of Mount Rainier. Out there her imagination is fed daily by the wild animals and woods about her home. She enjoys walking on the beach, hiking in the woods, and traveling. She loves kids and animals. Since her daughter grew up and moved away she has 16 out of the 27 dogs to fill the house with the pitty patter of little feet.
