Über dieses Hörbuch

Haseloff's characters embody the fundamental values--honor, duty, courage, and family--that prevailed on the American frontier and were instilled in the young Haseloff by her own "heroes," her mother and her grandmother. Her stories, in a sense, dramatize how these values endure when challenged by the adversities and cruelties of frontier existence. Her talent rests in her ability to tell a story with an economy of words and in the seemingly effortless way she uses language.

Autoren-Profil

Cynthia Haseloff was born in Eagle Flats, Texas in 1948. She won a State American Legion Oratorical Award in high school before receiving her B. A. and M. Besides having a career as a writer, Haseloff worked in her family's recreation business, produced audio visual material, taught high school English, and served as a publications advisor at the school. She also is a member of the Western Writers of America and past board member of Shiloh Museum and Washington County Historical Society. Haseloff has written Ride South! and The Kiowa Verdict: A Western Story, which won a Western Writers of America Spur Award for Best Western Novel.
