These stories were written by the eminent dean of horror, H. P. Lovecraft and each deals with dark and evil mysteries humans should not know or have anything to do with. The first story is about Herbert West, a medical student who is determined to find a way to bring corpses to life. This story, by American horror fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft that was first serialized in February through July 1922 in the amateur publication Home Brew. The story was the basis of the 1985 horror film Re-Animator and its sequels, in addition to numerous other adaptations in various media. You want zombies? Listen to this because Lovecraft was one of the very first and he got zombies right: scary, evil, implacable and out to get you.

The second story is a famous story in which the dark ugly side of humanity reveals itself. Hidden in small pockets across the earth's surface are bands of primitive people who have worshiped dark and blood thirsty gods for eons beyond counting. Their chief priest Cthuhlu sleeps but when he is wakened horrible things happen.
