After her father’s death, Annemarie Jocelyn returns to the farm, where she grew up with the heavy duty of managing her family’s legacy. To her surprise, she finds the memories rushing back, and the ties to her childhood home still strong in her heart. Old friends, and even the pinto pony she deeply loved as a child, are there reminding her of a life she had long forgotten. Will she be able to simply tie up any loose ends, sell the old place and head back to the city?

Still trying to clarify the details regarding her father’s death, Annemarie chooses to make the place run as it used to. To her side is Ash Hammond, the handsome neighboring rancher, devoted to protecting her. Without knowing much about his past, trusting him is a risk, but her heart commands her to do so. Is this fateful meeting going to change her fate for the better, or will she deeply regret her decision?

The two of them will need to set on a difficult mission in the goldmines and face multiple perils that will either bring them closer together or tear them apart... Will they be able to find the answers they are looking for? Can love prevail in the darkness of the mines?
