This book is different in that it is wonderfully structured so that it feels possible to attempt and then complete. The writing is easy to understand and relate to, and the exercises are practical and real. The book asks the kinds of questions that people suffering from depression can still answer and find some hope when doing so. It is the perfect supplement to my work and I will be suggesting to my clients that they consider this book. The skills are useful and practical and not cluttered with jargon and explanations.

I am by far not an expert of DBT, but I feel I have been effective conveying the skills because of the work by the author. He has made the ideals simple, realistic and applicable. great audio-book !

This audiobook has been so helpful for me. I listen to it in my car and at home. It is relaxing and has given me insight to the tools to use to keep me on track. I have taken DBT training and have DBT skills cards I use daily while journalism. This adds another element to keeping in line thru my daily struggles with Bipolar
